On Monday, Jan 12, investigators with the McMinn Co Sheriffs Office and 10th Judicial Drug Task Force, assisted by the Monroe Co Sheriffs Office executed a search warrant at a residence in Tellico Plains. The search warrant led to the recovery of stolen items from a recent theft in McMinn County.

McMinn County deputy involved in crash while taking arrestee to jail, sheriff says
ATHENS, Tenn. (WVLT) - A deputy with the McMinn County Sheriff’s Office was injured in a crash Saturday afternoon while taking an arrestee to jail, according to Sheriff Joe Guy. Guy said the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Ingleside Avenue in Athens while the deputy was transporting the arrestee to McMinn County Jail.
